Dr. Bruce Hollis and Dr.Carol Wagner of the Medical University of South Carolina have just completed a study showing that it takes 6000 IU/day for lactating mothers to have 400 IU/day for their babies in their breast milk. In the pregnant group taking 4000 IU/day, there were
50% fewer preterm labor and premature birth events
30% reduction in pre-eclampsia and other 'core morbidities of pregnancy'
Dr. Hollis says, "I'm telling every pregnant mother I see to take 4000 IU/day and every nursing mother to take 6400 IU/day of vitamin D. Obstetricians must know their patients vitamin D levels."
D*action is making a special recruitment this first quarter for Pregnant and Lactating women AND their infants! We want you to know your vitamin D levels and, to protect your baby!
